THE VILLAGE LIFE

Someone once said there isn’t much more that can be said about Steveston, that more is made of it than there is, that it’s just a little town at the edge of the world.

The village was incorporated into the City of Richmond and now is challenged to retain its small town flavour. Steveston is struggling to balance the tide of redevelopment with hanging on to the ideals of being a real neighbourhood and to celebrate them. The Village Life documents everyday life in Steveston and in doing so, reveals something special. Perhaps something even worth hanging on it.
