Each Christmas Eve kids and their families line the residential streets of Steveston Village to greet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. It is the best parade if you live here because unlike other events, this one is intimate with neighbours and friends stepping out of their homes to share in the excitement. The parade is also an opportunity for the Richmond Firefighters Society to collect food and funds for the Food Bank.
