tokyo swing

Each year, the Steveston Japanese Buddhist Temple hosts the summer festival Bon Odori on their grounds. Families set up on the lawn behind the temple while kids play traditional fishing games and others line up to buy takoyaki and shaved ice. The main attraction though is the dance. After the playing of O’Canada and chanting by temple Ministers, the drummer beats out the tempo for the dancers’ entrance and the fun begins.
