With a father who was an avid collector of cameras, our house was always strewn with cameras and photography books some of which I carried home after many hours spent at some store or garage sale waiting for my father to be done. He always wanted his girls to take up photography but that was not to be in his lifetime.

A few years ago I took an intensive basic photography course and so began my journey of learning the craft of photography. I’ve grown from taking snapshots to capture a moment I want to remember to learning more about cameras and thinking about what I am shooting. Today I am exploring the creativity that can come from understanding the combination of camera, lens and technique.

This journey of mine has no planned route but it does have a purpose: to express what I see and how I see it.
