distracted
The road to a revised website is slow going, folks but there is progress behind the scenes. Distractions with work and clients have challenged me to stay focused on the renovation but perhaps the biggest–and most welcomed–distraction has been the soon-to-be released Issue #2 of Rear Curtain. In a few days the proof copy will arrive in our hands and if what we’ve seen on our computer screens is any indication, we won’t have to do too many revisions and we can release this puppy. I won’t say too much more now as I want to leave the announcement on the release to the great crew at RC but I am very pleased with this issue.
A little bit about this image…the Richmond night market opened this past weekend and my cousin and I wandered down to check it out. Even though I’ve lived in this community for eight years, can you believe I’ve never gone to the night market? Well it was a lot of fun both photographically and food-wise. Is there any other better combination? I think not. I predict there will be many more visits there over the summer months. A rival summer night market is opening up in a few weeks just down the road from me so there will be even more opportunities for great food and hopefully a photograph or two. Can you say “Close to Home“?
Thanks for dropping by and for your patience. In the meantime, please check out the mini-chronicles as I am posting a bit more often there than here during the rebuild of my website. As always, comments are welcome.

Great to know that you’re still plugging away in the background. Look forward to the next issue of RC coming out. We’ve had a night market open up close to me which I’ve not made it to yet. If there were more food stalls it might be more of an incentive.
Yes, I’m still here so sorry I’m not posting more often Julie but I am checking in with you and hounds on a regular basis. Hope you will submit something to RC one of these days. I know there is a great storyteller in you lurking not too far down
Nice shot here. Like all the tones.
Thanks! I was lucky to find the right light at just the right spot for this to work.
I can say “Close to Home” it keeps coming back to me.
Good luck and keep it going…
Cheers Don. You’ve been doing some great stuff “close to home” or should I say “close to work”?
Yes, hah – I see what you mean w other direction! Best of luck w the next issue!
