waiting for spring (cleaning)
This has been the longest stretch of not posting something to my blog and it will be a while before I start posting again. As some of you know I am involved in a number of social media activities and my blog is paying the price for that, unfortunately. Most of my learning content is now directed through the Craft and Vision Twitter feed and through the C&V community blog and Facebook Group. Somehow it doesn’t seem ethical to re-post and leverage that through my blog although I know that’s what some people think I should do. What I would like to do instead is create a different space on my blog. That has been a challenge. I still am getting my head around what that will look like and until then I won’t be posting much here.
In this day and age of so much photographing and sharing online, I think it’s good for me to take a step back and re-assess what I’d like to accomplish through my personal presence on the web. It isn’t for fame and since I am not selling anything here, the focus should be something much more fundamental and universal. When I’ve figured that out, I will probably be updating this blog with a new look and direction. That’s my intention at least, but we all know that goes sideways sometimes. With the time I am putting into Rear Curtain and other projects that have my attention (plus my full-time job), I’m not sure when that might happen. In the meantime, I will do an occasional post. Hopefully you will hang around but if not, I understand. This isn’t a numbers game for me; it never was. I much prefer the personal connections with fewer people that feel more like a relationship than a sales pitch. So if you’d like to stay in touch, I am on Twitter and on Facebook. See you there!

I am constantly amazed by how much you manage to fit into your schedule, so don’t worry…I’ll always be lurking and checking in to see what’s going on over here
Thanks Cathy…you are one of the people who does know how crazy my responsibilities are
Good luck to you on that one, it’s tough, at least it was for me. You can do it I’m sure though and the change will be refreshing for ya.
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
Nice to see you’re still around – I can imagine that you’re all full up with that amount of activity going on. I see I’m going to have bite the bullet and sign up to the Craft and Vision Community after so much procrastination on my part. For what it’s worth, aside from your insight, generousity and humour I plain and simple like looking at your photographs so hope that whatever you decide just sharing your art might be there in your thinking.
Thanks Julie. It is always nice to hear that someone appreciates the images as well. Sometimes I feel like they get missed when I seem to place so much emphasis on the writing and sharing. It’s a good reminder to me too about what’s important to me and that’s the images. oxo
