You might remember my friend Ellie and I were in Port Townsend in August and experienced some wonderful fog. As luck would have it, we were looking for Fort Worden and came upon it not from the main entrance but by passing this military cemetery. I thought it would be appropriate to share something from that day on Veterans Day or Remembrance Day as it’s called in Canada.

PERFECT!
Thank you…
Perfect
Really interesting photo. All the verticals of the tombstones and flag, suddenly broken by the horizontal of the cannon – pointing out of the image to… ? This broken pattern says to me that despite the tombstones we still haven’t learnt about the costs of war, still haven’t created a way to be peaceful, and all of this will happen again.
Lovely moody, evocative image.
For me the photo conveys the feeling of silence and reflection. I especially like layers leading to the clouds at the top.

Very nice shot here. I like the fog. Creates a mood.
