Last weekend I was in Port Townsend for the Close to Home Workshop with Ray and Stuart. Although I wasn’t able to participate as fully as I would have liked because I was busy juggling some work responsibilities, I did have a chance to stand still for one hour. This is one of the images I made during those 60 minutes. To learn more about the workshop experiences, please check out these blog posts from Don, Cami, Dan and Duncan. You can even read Stuart’s take on his first time leading a workshop.
I hope Stuart will continue to offer this workshop in other locations and that you will take advantage of it if it comes to a city near you!

Thanks Sabrina,
That’s a great photo heading up the hill. A street I’ve driven on may times and never seen it this way.
Don
I walked up that street a few times myself but never stopped to see it in this way, Don. For all the complaining I did about my spot, there were probably worse places like the alley they gave to Franz!
I love everything I’ve read about Stuart’s workshop. It sounds pretty fabulous. The idea of staying in one spot for an hour, to really LOOK, and pay attention. It’s seems to me like a sort of meditation. I must try it for myself one of these days
Your pictures are amazing. The one above is very good in B&W. I love how you frame the walking lady with building and trees.
I like this image. Very good eye.
