days of our lives

One of the main reasons why this craft continues to attract me are the people that you’ll meet along the way. Some of the photographers I’ve come to know have become an important part of my learning and the interaction I have with them has helped me improve immensely. Recently two of my favourite photographers published calendars featuring their own images. I’m excited for two reasons. My sister and I often choose our calendars based on being able to enjoy the images beyond their chosen month. We frame the pictures and use them in our homes throughout the year. Also this is the first year–ever–that I will own a calendar where I know the person who created the images. And that makes my heart smile.

Without further ado, here’s Matt Brandon. He is a cross-cultural photographer with a special talent for capturing people in way that honours their place in this world. He speaks three languages and his work includes assignments with international faith based NGOs and non-profit organizations. His calendar is a visual feast of colour and you can enjoy his work for not 12 but 14 months. I ordered two last week so hurry up and buy yours today at Lulu.

Donald Cameron of Monophotography is photographer and a poet. He creates stirring black and white images of Scottish land and seascapes. Recently his work has grown to marry his images with his poetry creating a whole new experience for his fans. I actually interviewed Donald in June of this year; you can read what he had to say here. When I saw that Donald had his own calendar, I just had to have it. You can purchase your very own copy at RedBubble.

A special thank you to both Matt and Donald for giving me permission to use their images here!

Thank you for your sweet words Sabrina. I have enjoyed getting to know you on twitter. Maybe one day soon we can shoot some great images together.
