van dusen gardens, vancouver
My assignment of shooting at the Van Dusen Gardens took on a personal twist this month with an exhibit of Shona stone sculptures from Zimbabwe, my home country. The exhibition of between 150 to 200 sculptures is traveling the world and Vancouver is the only North American stop for these amazing pieces of work. I have several sculptures from Zimbabwe; mine are relatively small compared to these in the Gardens but they are all works of art. The exhibit runs until October 4 with partial proceeds of sales going to support the Van Dusen Botanical Garden Association. I am definitely going back for another visit!

How do you think if it is in a lighter field or background?

Lookin' good! Did you use David's tutorial on this one? Love the feel of it. Share more!
sue : )
Sue, I used one of the Black and White PS Actions from Pioneer Woman. Now that I see what they can do, I know why you like to use Actions.
Raymond, I did try to change the contrast some more but I wasn't happy with the overall look. Probably I need to go back and re-shoot this one!
