greeting spring
van dusen gardens, vancouver
What a difference three weeks makes! Spring has arrived and the signs were everywhere at the Van Dusen Gardens. The first heralders–snow drops, crocuses, and daffodills–were all there singing out loud. Across the water, they were doing the 33rd Annual Flower Count in Victoria where by Tuesday, they were already at 250 million blooms. The count ends tomorrow and we will know if the 2002 record of 8.5 billion blooms will be broken. Stay tuned for the final results!
P.S. The final total count was relativity low at 1,067,011,747 blooms. Spring will definitely be late this year.
