Exposure Blended Image in Photomatix
This is the first week of my HDR course. I am just learning about this technique but I thought I would share these images with you so that you can follow my learning curve. With the weather still not co-operating, we headed to North Vancouver late on Sunday afternoon to see if we could get a glimpse of the downtown skyline. The fog was thick and the view further obscured by working ships so I decided to shoot along the north shoreline instead.
The final image was developed from four images shot at 2 EV stops apart. I think I will head out again later this week to try to get some better compositions even though David our instructor said that this week’s lesson is about the technique and not about the art. I am also going to try to do more shots at 1 EV apart instead and see if that makes any difference to the final image. My goal will be to find a scene that more clearly reflects the power of this technique.
P.S. I added an image created using the same four files but processed in Photomatix using Exposure Blending. While this is not HDR, I found it still interesting to see the end result and wanted to share it with everyone.
